Occasion & Booking
Is there a minimum number of people, and what applies to smaller groups?
No, the rent is charged per room, not per person
Will my event be held exclusively, or could there be other groups in the venue at the same time?
The selected room, which is available to hire, is for exclusive use. You can also hire the entire country inn exclusively for yourselves.
How much does it cost to hire the venue, and is there a minimum spend or any flat-rate charges?
We’d be happy to send you our price list. There is no minimum spend.
How far in advance should I book?
Our country inn is very popular, so the sooner the better
How does the enquiry and booking process work?
Via the form, by email or by telephone
What deposit is required, and what are the payment and cancellation terms?
The amount must be paid within 14 days of making the booking and the booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 1 month in advance
By when do I need to confirm the final number of guests?
This confirmation is subject to the availability of our various caterers.
How late can the party go on (closing time, music)?
On the premises until midnight, elsewhere until 11.00 pm

Can I view the premises in advance?
We’d be delighted to show you our popular premises
What equipment is available (projector, screen, sound system, microphone), and what do I need to organise myself?
The equipment is in place, but it needs to be set up and operated by our technician
How many parking spaces are there, and are they free of charge?
We have space for around 80 vehicles; 30 of these are free of charge
Are we allowed to do our own decorating – are there any restrictions (candles, confetti, fixings)?
Yes, you are allowed to decorate the place yourself, but everything must be returned to its original condition. Flare candles are not permitted.
Can we set up or deliver equipment the day before?
Yes, provided it wasn’t let the day before
Is the venue accessible to people with disabilities?

Catering
How does the catering work?
A caterer will organise your event. You can discuss the menu, drinks and other details directly with them
Will you recommend a caterer, or shall we choose one ourselves?
We recommend caterers who are familiar with the venue and its facilities. However, you are also free to hire your own caterer
What facilities are available to the caterer?
Spaces for preparing and plating up food. The caterer provides their own kitchen appliances and utensils
Weddings
Can we hold a non-religious or civil wedding ceremony at your venue?
Yes, with great pleasure; it can also be done outdoors, with a view of the Mönch, the Eiger and the Jungfrau
Is there a room for the bride and groom to get ready and stay overnight?
Yes, we have 10 hotel rooms
What happens to an outdoor wedding ceremony or drinks reception if the weather is bad?
For this reason alone, it is well worth hiring the country inn exclusively
Can we bring our own wedding cake?
Yes, to discuss with the caterer
